Townhall is excited to welcome back Dr. Elliot Engel. He will be sharing his expertise on Mark Twain one of the most renowned writers of all time. Using anecdotes, analysis, and large doses of humor, Dr Engel will bring to life this most remarkable of authors and of course reveal why Samuel Clemens traded in his birth name for what is perhaps the most famous and beloved pen name of all time. Dr. Engel has a delightful way of sharing his knowledge. A native of Indianapolis, Dr. Engel earned his M.A. and Ph.D. as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at UCLA. His six books have been published in England and America, and his articles have appeared in numerous magazines, including Newsweek.  He lectures on literary topics throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
